University of Information Technology and Skills based in Łódź (WSIU) - a non-public university educating students in the fields of computer science, pedagogy, management, economics, hospitality, graphics and interior design. Founded in 1997 the university has the Angelica Sports and Recreation Center with a gym and fitness center, a sports hall with a full-size volleyball, basketball, handball and indoor soccer field. There is also a swimming pool, a solarium and a wellness area with a Finnish and steam sauna. The center also offers a relaxing or renewing massage and advice from wellness and physical therapy specialists. It is available to students and university employees, as well as to all residents of Łódź The university offers five lecture halls (400 and 200 seats each) and several dozen teaching rooms. In total, there are over 1,600 computers there. There is a wireless Internet system in the university and dormitories.
